Advocacy Worker

Do you feel that you are not being listened to?

Do you need help to speak up for yourself?
Would you like support to find out about your rights and to make decisions and choices?
Do you want help to get services or support?

What is advocacy?

  • Advocacy is acting to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and access services, they need.
  • Advocates work in partnership with the people they support and offer guidance.
  • Advocacy promotes social inclusion, equality and social justice.

Our Advocate is:

  • Independent
  • Free
  • Confidential
  • On your side

Our Advocate can help you with things like:

  • Understanding your rights
  • Getting the health, housing and social care services, you need.
  • Finding information
  • Dealing with letters and phone calls
  • Supporting you to keep safe from abuse and exploitation
  • If we can’t help you we will signpost you to someone who can.
